Apropos the Poet's Musings: Anyway, Give It a Try

Poet's Musings: Anyway, Give It a Try: Socrates or the committee that built the Temple of Delphi or someone else said, "Know thyself." The-philosophy.com calls this...

Can one really know oneself?
Is knowing oneself the synonym for identity?
Is it the same as finding the answer to the question who I am?
I don't know. Might be that it's one and the same.
Another question arises.
What is the process of knowing yourself? How does it go, when does it end? Does it end at all?
And finally why should I know myself? What's the purpose of knowing? And how do you know the knowledge is objective and real?
And what if there is just one thing to find out and know?
Just one thing about oneself. What could that be? A core? Or something superficial? Or you start from the superficial and reach the core?
I don't know.
I have a feeling that if I don't try to find out I'll never know. I need to begin somewhere. But where?
Urgh, too many questions spoil all the fun.

  1. Great questions. It might be fun to write a second version in which you provide short answers to the questions.
